Good Luck To Donegal To Day in Armagh
Armagh are at home and it is the Ulster Championship. Anything can happen on a given day! "But for me it's Donegal by three or four points." Here are some important numbers regarding Donegal's recent record against their fellow Ulster teams in the championship.
Since the start of the 2011 season, Donegal have played 16 championship games against teams from Ulster, with 15 of those played in the Ulster Championship and one in the All-Ireland series. They have won 15 of those 16 games, their only defeat coming to Monaghan in the 2013 Ulster final.
Their record since 2011 includes wins over Antrim (twice), Cavan (twice), Tyrone (four times), Derry (three times), Down (twice), Monaghan and Armagh (both once). They haven't faced Fermanagh in that period. They have won three of the last four UIster titles, and two of those titles (2011, 2012) were won from the preliminary round stage.
Those remarkable numbers show the scale of the Donegal stranglehold on Ulster football at present, but their opponents this weekend, Armagh, have reasons to be confident in front of their home fans this Sunday.
