SCOR NA NOG
The club entered Scor Na nOg this year in 2 categories, Recitation and Tra nd Ceist. Dermot Cunningham had an excellent rendition on 'The day I scored the winning goal!' scoring a massive 88 out of 100 but sadly it was just off the mark. The quiz team, made up of Shaun Gorrell, Ryan Cunningham, Michael Gallagher and Karl Gallagher were very impressive and also very close to qualification. Thanks to those who took part and to Patricia Murrin for rounding up the troops again this year.
A big well done to all the boys and girls who recieved medals at the underage presentation evening on Friday
in the tech. Thanks to all coaches, helpers and parents for their dedication throughout the year.
Thanks to McGinleys who sponsored tops for the Under 16 boys reciently.
Killybegs GAA will be holding Operation Reformation from the second week in January for eight weeks.
On Thur the 7th of Jan
) there will be a Health and Wellbeing and Registration evening for Operation Reformation! People will have the opportunity to have their Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, BMI and Weight checked on the night. There will also be tables with various information, all in relation to Health and Wellbeing!
Operation Reformation will begin on the second week in January on 2 nights per week, (days yet to be finalised) one evening will involve an exercise class with a qualified instructor and the second night will be a walk/run. There will be a €5 charge each week which will be donated to a chosen charity. There will be teams formed at the beginning of Operation Reformation and there will be a competition between all teams to see which team looses the most weight over 8 weeks! (No individual's weight loss will be disclosed) there will be a weigh in every second week before the walk/run.
After 8 weeks there will be a 5
km walk/run and prize giving to the winning team!
We hope that the community will get behind Operation Reformation to improve the wellbeing of everyone! We ask that children who wish to take part must be accompanied by their own parent/s or guardian. Killybegs GAA will not be responsible for children dropped off to partake on their own.
