The feast day of St Catherine of Alexandria on November 25 was celebrated in Killybegs with more than the usual style this year.
Killybegs History and Heritage Committee sponsored a fascinating exhibition of photographs, hosted by Mattie and Catherine Smith, in the lobby of the Bay View Hotel along with a selection of lovely short pieces by children in the local national schools. Hope these are being preserved for future generations. There were prayers at the well at 4pm and then during Mass at 7pm a stained-glass window, depicting God the Father, was unveiled by Anne Kinsella.
Two other new stained-glass windows are to be installed in the Adoration Room at a later date. Total cost for the Harry Clarke window and the other two windows is in the region of €12,000. All donations gladly received and gratefully acknowledged
