"The family of the late Karen Cahill would like to thank most sincerely the Community in Killybegs who have shown them the most unforgettable kindness in recent days. It has left us overwhelmed and so very proud to be part of this Community. To all those who welcomed her home with candlelight vigil, visited our home, supported us in so many ways we cannot thank you enough. The hardest and loneliest journey we had to make with her on her last time leaving home was faced with the strength and kindness of the Community. From our garden to her grave the Community of Killybegs were by our side and we will be eternally grateful for the kindness and solidarity. Our thanks to Killybegs GAA, Ulster Bank staff, St. Catherine's vocational school and Karen's former colleagues and friends for the touching gesture. While our lives have changed forever Karen would have been so grateful to the people of Killybegs who helped make the sorrow that little bit more bearable. From her partner Eoin, son Matthew, Emer, Ed, Shane, Dara and Grace and extended family - thank you."
